Manning Bar is a purpose built live entertainment venue attracting the best local and international acts for many years. 

 The bar’s countless live music events have included artists such as Gotye, The Foo Fighters, Billy Bragg, Cloud Control, Thundamentals, Violent Soho, The Smith Street Band, The Kite String Tangle, sleepmakeswaves, Hoodoo Gurus, Sepultura, Radio Birdman, Ratatat, Alexisonfire, Motion City Soundtrack, Midnight Juggernauts, Dashboard Confessional, Regurgitator, Propaghandi and Wolfmother. We are also hosted large scale events Astral People’s Outside In Festival, the inaugural OneDayOnly Festival, Heaps Gay Mardi Gras After Party.

In 2022, they also introduced their very own festival – Someday Soon, which saw Holy Holy, Middle Kids, Hermitude, Methyl Ethel, Winston Surfshirt, Lastlings, Ruby Fields and heaps more Australian acts grace our stages.

Manning Bar also hosts the infamous Sydney Uni Band Comp, which has helped launched the careers of some of Australia’s most well-known and loved bands including The Laurels (Winners 2007), The Jezabels (Finalist 2007) and Cloud Control (Winners 2006).
