Howard is a corporate and tax lawyer with over 30 years of experience across London, Sydney, Asia and New York. A former UK barrister, he spent 20 years as a partner and principal of Ernst & Young and has worked in both top tier and boutique firms. He is Chair of the Australian Live Music Business Council and volunteers with the Arts Law Pro Bono Scheme.

Known for his commercial, practical approach, Howard clarifies legal issues for clients and represents their interests effectively in negotiations. He studied artist management and the music industry at Berklee College Boston, and founded Corner Soul to give Australian clients in music and entertainment a source of high quality commercial advice.

Troy is an experienced music industry professional who has held senior positions at BMG, managed ARIA and APRA Award-winning artists through his own company Hub Music Group, launched music start-ups and led APAC for multinational music and tech businesses.

Troy holds a Bachelor of Business in Marketing from Charles Sturt University and a Juris Doctor from the Australian National University, and was admitted as a lawyer in 2023. His commercial background gives him a distinct perspective on contemporary legal issues, particularly where music and technology meet.
